Eastern Shore Went on Tour!

May 17, 2016

Eastern Shore RFC traveled to the province of Quebec this past weekend to take on a Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue RFC rep team (3rds &old boys) in what was a first tour away for the young ESRFC.

Friday evening was spent socializing with SABRFC and then Saturday it was down to business.  ESRFC would come out fast but with a bad case of white line fever in the open quarter they were unable to capitalize on two early attacks inside the Ste Anne’s 22.

It would be Ste Anne’s that would score first 5-0 SABRFC.

The two teams would trade scores throughout the first half and be even 10-10 at half.

In the second half it would be the ESRFC scrum that would be the difference producing a great converted TRY to see the Shore go ahead 17-10. Ste Anne’s would not lie down and after pounding the Shore line repeatedly they finally got over for a second half score themselves. 17-15  Shore.

In the final minutes of the game both teams were going for the victory however a late TRY from Eastern Shore would secure a 22-15 win for the touring side.

Eastern Shore RFC would like to thank Ste-Anne’s-de-Bellevue Rugby Club for their wonderful and generous hospitality over the past weekend. We look forward to hosting them on the Shore for the return match and of course more Maritime flavour!!
