RNS Provincial Coach Extends Contract
Rugby Nova Scotia is delighted to announce that Provincial Coach Jack Hanratty has agreed to a two year extension of his contract. Over the last five years Rugby Nova Scotia has seen a tremendous expansion in the breadth of program offerings, doubling the number of representative sides, while at the same time improving results at all levels. A driving force behind the establishment of the Keltics Academies, Hanratty has been key in establishing a solid development program with the goal of having players move from Keltic blue to Canada red.
Geno Carew, president of Rugby Nova Scotia, was pleased with the extension:
“Jack has worked extremely hard over the last five years to change the culture and structure of our Provincial programs. We have seen improvement at all levels of both our Men and Women’s programs. We are now regularly placing players on National teams at all levels, and I am excited to see what the next two years will bring. ”
On signing, Hanratty said:
“I am delighted to re-sign with Rugby Nova Scotia, it is a great opportunity to work with so many young, quality coaches and incredible players striving for success both within this province and on the international stage. "
Over the next three weeks Hanratty will be leading teams at the upcoming Eastern Canadian Championship in St. John’s Newfoundland, the U20 Women’s event at Kings Edgehill School in Windsor, and the U19 Men and Senior Women’s Championship in Truro N.S.
