Keltics Blue to Canada Red U18/U20W
Rugby Nova Scotia is delighted to announce the selection of six female Keltics players to two National team programs.
Announced as part of the U18 East program:
Emma MacLean, Dartmouth Pigdogs RFC
Emma, who plays hooker, attends Cole Harbour High School and was a member of the Keltics U16 provincial program last year. This year, Emma was part of the Keltics Academy program.
Emma MacDougal, Halifax Tars RFC
Emma, who plays second row/prop, attends Citadel High School and was a member of the Keltics U18 provincial program and a former member of the Keltics U16 provincial program. Emma has been a part of the Keltics Academy for two seasons, which has lead to a noticeable improvement in her skills.
Tae Tynnes, Halifax Tars RFC
Tae, who plays Second row, attends Citadel High School and has just returned from Florida as part of the Keltics U18 7s team. Tae competed as part of the Keltics U18 team last summer and is a current member of the Keltics Academy.
Announced as part of the U20 Top 40 program:
Justine Blatt-Janmatt, Windsor Machine/Valley Bulldogs RFC
Justine, who is currently attending the University of Ottawa, made history last year winning national medals as part of the U18 Keltics, U20 Keltics and Senior Women's Keltics teams all in the same summer. Justine is a graduate of the Keltics Academy.
Hannah Ellis, Halifax Tars RFC
Hannah was the starting 10 for STFX as they won the national championship this year. Hannah was also a member of the Keltics U20 squad last season and was a member of the Keltics Academy for many years.
Claudia Fulton, Valley Bulldogs RFC
Claudia is currently attending STFX University and was part of the national championship winning team this season. Claudia has been a part of the Keltics provincial program since U18s, winning a U18 National Silver and U20 National Bronze medal.
