Dear members,

As we continue this period of the unknown, Rugby Nova Scotia would like to update you on the steps being taken so that our organization and member clubs can be ready for rugby.

As our mission statement says:

Rugby Nova Scotia is dedicated to the advancement, encouragement, promotion, administration, development and coordination of the sport of rugby in Nova Scotia through progressive leadership in cooperation with its membership and in liaison with Rugby Canada.

In these times, our staff and board are preparing for the "what’s next”.

Our staff and board will be focused on putting the clubs first.

We have been creating plans for Rugby activity for multiple scenarios.

A main focus will be to create club playing opportunities for senior men’s and women's while also establishing new structures for our Youth Rugby programs.

RNS will be working with clubs and regions to also establish a new youth rugby competition to give all new and interested teenagers a chance to lace up their boots.

In this non-playing time our staff is currently offering:

Club Checkup follow ups

Coach and player webinars

Online games and activities

Our Solidarity Series (online learning)

Social media activities

If any club or partner would like any assistance please reach out to a staff member or member of the board.

We will continue to work with Rugby Canada, Government of Canada and the Government of Nova Scotia to make the return to play as soon as it safe to do so.

We hope you and yours are safe at this time.
