Rugby Nova Scotia Training and Education Update

Ready to level up your involvement in Nova Scotia rugby? We’ve finalized a packed slate of training and education opportunities covering the first half of 2026! Whether you want to coach, officiate, or ensure player safety, our courses are designed to build skills and raise the standard of the game across the province.

The schedule begins immediately: a Level 1 Referee Course is running this weekend, November 8th, 2025, at Meadowfields Community School in Yarmouth and spaces are still available. Looking ahead, key courses for the new year include Level 1 Coaching (Jan 10th in Dartmouth; March 21st in Truro, Apr 5th at Acadia), TackleSmart (Jan 25th and Feb 21st), and First Aid in Rugby (May 3rd at Enfield Rugby Club). Please note the advanced Level 2 Coaching Course (Feb 1st & 16th) requires an application form, which will be released in Early December. Keep an eye out for a full Fall 2026 schedule announcement later this summer!

For all courses except Level 2, registration is available on The Breakdown through your SportLomo account. If you need help accessing The Breakdown or registering, or if your club is interested in hosting a course of its own, please reach out directly to Matt Melanson at rugbytd@sportnovascotia.ca. We look forward to seeing you at a session!
